Hair on Fire

This is so cool it's crazy! I've gotten where I'm used to doing things like barrelling up to over 600 miles an hour, ripping into 5 G's, and roaring straight up. Flying the T-38 is really sweet. It's very fast and agile and I have stepped up a huge notch in my piloting ability.
Of course, they wouldn't pay us to do this without trying to make us miserable and heaping plenty of abuse and extra stuff on us. It's definitely an 18 hour a day job. But that said the first things I said definitely make up for it.
Well I've been solo four times and that's definitely the best part. The other day I was out in my airspace doing manuevers and I got to go dodging past these huge puffy white clouds, spinning through holes, whipping around pillars, flying upside down right on top - it was awesome; just like the dreams I had when I was little.
I also had my first checkride here yesterday, and it went exceptionally well. So now I've moved on to Tactical Formation. Today I went flying along at 400 knots 3 feet away from this other dude, it wasn't real smooth but it'll get there, and it sure is a pretty awesome thing to do...
