Shorttimer

Alright! it's been a busy few weeks. But I am very happy because we are now finished with all of our graded measures! I just got back from spending the last week participating in a classified exercise with US SOCOM (Special Operations Command). I was lucky enough to get an opportunity that few people get and even though I can't talk about it, just know that it was one of the most intense things I've ever gotten to do. Knowing me you can probably assume a few things from there...
It took a little bit to get used to being back in the world, but it was easier since OTS has eased up on us and bit and we're treated like almost normal people. I graduate on Thursday, 30 Jun, and that is going to feel very very good.
I finally got my assignment. I'm headed to Moody, AFB in Valdosta, GA for Pilot Training. I'm really excited about that, there are some good people there and I'll get to fly the T-6A which is one awesome airframe. It's basically a modernized P-51 with a digital cockpit that tops 300MPH. Also, I was lucky enough to get an early start date and I begin on 22 Aug; some guys have to wait until January or later.
That's my life; following the dream and encountering unknown surprises along the road that blow me away (sometimes literally).
